Hi, I’m Dr. MJ Dallozzi (He/Him/His)
I am a post-doctoral fellow at the Center for Psychological Growth and Resilience. I earned my doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Saint Mary’s University in the Twin Cities. I completed pre-doctoral internship at Mental Health Systems and practicum training with the Minnesota Psychoanalytic Society and Institute, and Parker Collins Family Mental Health - all in the Twin Cities metro area.
Prior to coming to Minnesota, I resided in Pittsburgh, PA for many years. While there, I earned my Master’s in Professional Counseling from Carlow University with practicum and internships trainings in private practice and teen outreach centers. Before I entered the mental health field, I worked in the for-profit business sector in various leadership roles mostly centering on accounting and human resources management.
These varied experiences have allowed me to be trained in a large variety of therapy modalities including but not limited to: EMDR; DBT; CBT; existential; relational-cultural; ego-state; anchor network; psychodynamic; ACT; feministic; humanistic; group; and with my conceptualizing theory being gestalt. My specialties include trauma; neuro divergence: adult ADHD and level 1 ASD; sexual and gender minorities (LGBTQIA++); career counseling; anxiety; dissociation; family dynamics; and the adult children of parents with or potential with Cluster B personality disorders. I also incorporate my love for the arts and pop culture into my therapy. Talking about a favorite film, book, painting, or musician is always welcomed.
Thank you for taking time to read about me.
